RGIPT B.Tech Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be on the basis of the following prescribed process.
- Candidates will be selected for Admission of RGIPT B.Tech 2025 based on the rank secured in JEE Advanced.
- Then, the selected aspirants will be called for participating in the RGIPT counselling process
- Applicants have to attend the counselling in person and they need to carry and submit their original documents for verification purposes.
- After the verification has been performed, candidates will be allotted seats which will entirely depend upon the rank secured.
- Then candidates will be asked to pay admission fees in order to complete the admission formalities and process.
RGIPT B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2025
Applicants applying for RGIPT Admission 2025 under B.Tech programmes must go through the eligibility criteria. These criteria are set up by the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Amethi. - Aspirants must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board
- General category candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 60%
- Reserved category candidates must have secured an aggregate of 55% to be eligible for admission.
- Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of the common merit list of JEE Advanced 2025 of the present year and will also depend on the extended merit list
- The candidate who will apply under the Reserved category will be selected as per the norms of the Government of India
NOTE – Applicants having color blindness are not eligible for RGIPT B.Tech Admission 2025 in Petroleum Engineering but they are eligible for Chemical Engineering.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Amethi will publish the Merit List for B.Tech Admission of RGIPT 2025. The merit list will be prepared based on the JEE Main rank and choice of course filled by an applicant. Applicants whose names will be mentioned on the merit list will be called to attend the counseling process.

RGIPT B.Tech Counselling 2025
The concerned authority will organize Counselling for Admission of RGIPT B.Tech 2025. This counselling will be conducted in an offline phase and candidates need to report to the allotted centres. During counseling process, applicants need to carry original documents as well as photocopies for verification of documents. The shortlisted applicants will then be allotted seats.

NOTE – Applicants belonging to Assam, Meghalaya, and Jammu, and Kashmir are not allowed to enter the Aadhaar card number in the application form. RGIPT B.Tech Admission Fees 2025
Candidates need to pay registration fees along with admission fees for RGIPT 2025 B.Tech Admission. General and OBC category applicants need to pay an amount of Rs. 30,000 as the registration fee while Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and PwD category candidates need to pay Rs. 10,000.
