NEET PG 2019 Cutoff: The NEET PG Result 2019 has been announced today at 17:00 pm. The NEET PG 2019 Applicants must obtain the minimum cut-off qualifying marks to become eligible for counselling. Cut-off marks may vary category-wise. NEET PG 2019 Cut-off will be available in the form of qualifying percentile, opening and closing rank of the participating college. NEET PG 2019 cutoff is going to be published around the 2nd week of February 2019. Based on the number of test takers, marks obtained, seat availability in the NEET PG 2019, NBE, the official authority will decide the Cut-off for NEET PG 2019. NEET PG 2019 Cutoff

NEET PG 2019 cutoff will publish in percentile mode. However, the equivalent marks to the cutoff percentile can only be stipulated after the declaration of result. Candidates who appeared in the NEET PG 2019 must score equal to or more than the cut-off marks to become eligible for counselling. NEET PG 2019 cutoff signifies the eligibility to participate in the counselling process. It does not mean that securing the minimum required percentile will ensure a medical seat. Candidates will be required to participate in the counselling process at national and state level post which the admission will be taken on merit and preference basis.

The NEET PG 2019 cutoff qualifying percentile marks will depend on the performance of all the NEET PG 2019 test takers. However, the expected NEET PG 2019 cutoff is provided in the table below for various categories.

Possible change in NEET PG 2019 Cutoff

NEET PG 2019 Cutoff: Just in case, if the number of candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2019 exam to fall short of the number of candidates required in a respective category, then the Central Government in consultation with Medical Council of India can lower the NEET PG 2019 cut off. The situation of revision in the cut off of NEET PG 2019 arise when enough candidates do not qualify the exam as compared to the number of seats available or candidate do not participate in the admission process. Last year (2018), the NEET PG cut off was reduced by 15th percentile in each category comapred to NEET PG 2017 cut-off.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for NEET PG 2019 Cutoff

Tie-Breaking Criteria comes into play when two or more candidates score same marks. NBE, the official authority, consider the tie-breaking criteria when this situtaion occurs. There are certain steps mentioned below which are to be followed to break the tie.

  1. In order to break the tie, the number of correct responses will be counted. Candidate with more number of correct responses will be considered over others to break the tie.
  2. If the tie still persists, the total percentage score of all MBBS professional examinations will be considered. Candidates who have completed primary medical qualification outside India can submit FMGE score out of 300 in place of the score of MBBS professional exams. Candidates with more marks in MBBS professional examinations/FMGE will be given preference over the ones with lower marks.
  3. If the, tie still persists then the candidate who is older in age will be placed at a higher position over the younger candidate.
