The Karnataka Educational Authority(KEA) conducts the postgraduate Examination for candidates of Karnataka who wants to carry forward after their Bachelors Degree. Thia State-level Examination will be held in the month of July. This entrance Examination is for the candidates who seek their career in the field of Engineering, Architecture, Technology or Business Administration.The Examination will be held in the offline mode.There will be more than 178 colleges and universities participating in the Admission process.The form fills up will be done online on the official website of Karnataka PGCET 2018. No offline forms will be accepted by the Examination Authorities.The candidates are advised to fill up the forms before the last date gets over.The candidates will only be allowed to sit in the Examination only if they have downloaded the Admit Card. The Admit cards will be issued to those candidates who have successfully registered themselves with Karnataka PGCET 2018.

The Result will be declared in the month of August.Candidates can only apply for the Examination when the candidates fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the Examination Authorities.The result will be declared online. The candidates have to check the result on the official Website where a special link will be highlighted at the time of the results. A merit list will also be released on the basis of the score and performance of the candidates.

The results will specify the marks scored by the candidates in the Entrance Examination.The Examination Authorities does not guarantee Admissions for Candidates for appearing in the Examination.The Answer keys get releases after a few days of Examination.With the release of the Answer keys, the candidates can check the answers compared with the response sheet. This helps the candidates to get a rough idea of their scores. There will be rank wise merit list which will be prepared for the counselling.
Checking Karnataka PGCET Results
Candidates who have appeared for the Examination will check their result online on the official website.The candidates who did not take the examination will not get the results. If in any case any candidate is terminated on any unfair grounds, they will not be able to generate the results.
There will be some steps that the candidates have to perform for downloading the result.The steps are given here:
- Log in to the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) to get access to the page where the result is being declared
- The Website will provide a link to which the candidates have to click.
- After clicking on the link the rank list will open. Candidates are advised to check the details which will be mentioned on the page.In case there is any misprint on the Rank list, it should be immediately informed to the Authorities.
- After checking thoroughly, the candidates need to download the score page. It is suggested to keep more than two print out by the candidates as it might be needed later.
If in case there are students who have scored equal marks in the Entrance Examination, KEA will resolve or break the tie with some conditions.
- The student who will score the highest marks in the last qualifying degree will be selected.
- Candidates with older age will be preferred.
Karnataka PGCET 2018 Counselling
Karnataka Examination Authority will be conducting the PGCET 2018 Counselling from the month of August. It might start from the third week of August tentatively. The candidates will be called for the counselling only according to the marks scored by them. The eligible candidates will have to register first for the counselling.The documents will be verified by the Examination Authorities. Only the valid documents will be accepted. The candidates have to submit the original copies of their certificate as well as the photocopy of their documents. All the documents that the Authorities will demand have to submit and it is mandatory. After the successful verification of the documents, a unique code will be sent to the candidates. This verification will be important for the form fill up the process. The seat will be allotted as per availability of seats in the colleges and the universities, rank scored in the Entrance Examination, and the college or university chosen by the candidate at the time of form fillup. The candidate then should report to the colleges or institutes assigned. The candidate thereafter can do the further processing i.e their Admission process and other formalities.
