The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is responsible for determining the Eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2018. A candidate has to fulfill all the educational qualifications and conditions before registering for JoSAA. To participate in the JoSAA Counselling and Seat Allotment Process, the candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria of the JoSAA 2018. If he/she does not meet the eligibility criteria of the JoSAA 2018, then he/she will be disqualified. The Eligibility criteria of JoSAA 2018 is different for each category and admissions will be done as per the eligibility criteria.
JoSAA 2018 Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2018
- Candidates must have successfully qualified the JEE Advanced 2018 Exam.
- Candidates must score a minimum of 75% marks in 12th standard and for reserved category, the candidates must secure a minimum of 65%.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2018 (For Courses at IITs)
- Candidates must secure the cut-off marks of JEE Advanced 2018.
- Admissions to the preparatory courses will be open for the Reserved Category candidates.
- Candidates have to score a minimum of 65% marks in 12th standard.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2018 Paper I (B. Tech)
- Candidates must score above the cut-off marks of JEE Main Paper I (B. Tech).
- Candidates must have qualified 12th standard exam with Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with anyone of the subjects- Chemistry/ Biology/ Bio-Technology/ Technical Vocational Subject
- For Admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFITs candidates must secure 75% and the reserved category candidates must score a minimum of 65% in total five subjects including Mathematics.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2018 Paper II (B. Arch)
- Candidates should have qualified JEE Main Paper II
- Candidates must have has Maths as one of the subjects in 12th Standard.
- For Admissions in NITs, IIITs and GFITs candidates must secure 75% and the reserved category candidates must score a minimum of 65% in total five subjects including Mathematics.
JoSAA Eligibility Criteria for Admissions in other States and Institutions
For Admissions into the Institutes of other states and institutions, the eligibility criteria will depend upon the Admission Authorities of the Individual Institutes. Each institute will have its own set of Eligibility criteria for Admissions.
Course Restrictions:
Before applying for any course, the candidates must check if there are any restrictions, in the applied course. On the basis of the restrictions you can further apply for the course.
