JKCET Counselling 2018: The JKCET Counselling registration for all eligible candidates had started from 28th May 2018. Jammu and Kashmir BOPEE will invite Candidates for JKCET counselling who have been listed under the merit list. The JKCET 2018 counselling will involve steps like document verification and choice filling of colleges and branches. Candidates will be updated on the counselling schedule as soon as the JKCET counselling dates are released officially. JKCET Counselling 2018
The exam conducting authority, JKBOPEE conducts the counselling for all the eligible and qualified candidates of JKCET 2018. Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test is a state level examination conducted for various Undergraduate courses like Bachelors of Engineering. After the results of JKCET have been announced, the candidates are able to participate in the JKCET counselling 2018.
JKBOPEE has released the JKCET counselling schedule 2018 in both online mode and in two English daily newspapers. There will be no separate letter or notice sent to the candidate personally.

JKCET Counselling Procedure 2018

Document Verification required for JKCET Counselling
Candidates will be called for document verification after the results have been declared, based on their rank and merit. For document verification, candidates will be required to report to ‘J&K BOPEE Office, Bagat-e-Barzulla, opp J&K bank Barzulla, Srinagar or J&K BOPEE Office, 4th floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu’. Candidates are advised to carry both sets of original as well as photocopies of all the documents. The list of documents has been provided in this article.
Payment of JKCET Counselling fee
Participating candidates will be required to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 500 at the POS terminal at BOPEE office Srinagar, Jammu. The candidate will also have the option to pay the counselling fee through Swap machine which will be available at the BOPEE office.
Choices Filling During JKCET Counselling
After the candidate has successfully paid the counselling fee, he/she will be able to fill in the choices of the college and course in the order of their preference. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their choices filled keeping in mind other factors.
JKCET 2018 Seat Allotment
In this step, candidates will be allotted seats based on their merit and rank, the choices filled and the number of seats available. The seats allotted will be from one of the participating institutes. After the seat allotment is over, candidates will be required to report to the institute along with the documents to complete other admission facilities.
The JKCET counselling will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates must make sure to participate in the counselling procedure as it is an important event. Candidates have to personally go to the counselling venue on the prescribed date and date.
Withdrawal of Admission: If the candidate decides to withdraw his/her admission, the JKCET counselling fee of Rs 500 will be refunded. There will, however, be no refund in case of late fee payment. Withdrawal from counselling is allowed only in the first round.
In case a candidates fails to attend the JKCET Counselling on the specified date, he/she will be allowed to participate in the counselling on the next day provided the candidate furnishes satisfactory justification. Also, if the candidate does not attend the JKCET 2018 counselling at all, his/her candidature will be cancelled and the seat will be given to the next candidate on the merit list.
