JEE Main IIIT Ranchi Cutoff: The Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi (commonly known as IIIT Ranchi or IIITR) was established in the year 2016. The institute initially started operating in a temporary campus of the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. The NIT Jamshedpur is the mentor institute of IIIT Ranchi. Its permanent campus will be soon set up in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The Govt. of India has accorded the institute the status of an Institute of National Importance. IIITR is an autonomous institute, which is being set up by the following

• Government of India under the Ministry of Human Resource Development
• Government of Jharkhand
• Industry partners like Tata Motors, TCS, and CCL as a not-for-profit Public Private Partnership (N-PPP) model

IIIT Ranchi admits applicants into two specializations of a 4-year B.Tech program namely Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communications Engineering. Also, the institute offers 60 seats in each of the specialization which results in a total of 120 seats available for admission. Seats are allotted only if candidates meet the prescribed IIIT Ranchi Cutoff.

The institute shortlists applicants for admission depending upon any of the following modes of admission:

• The candidate must have appeared in JEE Main examination and he/she must have a valid score that satisfies the  IIIT Ranchi Cutoff.
• General category applicants who have secured an aggregate of 75% in class 12th are eligible for admission while SC/ ST/ PwD applicants who have secured at least 65% are eligible.
• The candidate must be one of the top 20 percentile holders of class 12th board exams.
