AP EDCET 2019: The exam of AP EDCET is a common entrance test conducted by the CONVENER, AP EDCET- 2019, Institute of Advanced Study in Education (IASE), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. The test is held to provide admission to meritious candidates into B. Ed regular courses in the university, Government, aided and private colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh. AP EDCET Important Dates 2019:

Candidates who are planning on giving the exam of AP EDCET 2019 will have to keep themselves updated with the latest released details of the schedule. The examination conducting body will make the schedule available as per on the announced dates and the candidates will have to go through the website on a regular basis so as not to miss any of the important events of the admission procedure. It must be noted that the applications received after the prescribed dates will not be accepted. Aspirants are advised that they must save the officially released schedule.

AP EDCET Eligibility 2019:

The eligibility criteria is an important part of the Application procedure and the candidates who are planning on appearing for the entrance test must keep themselves updated of the defined eligibility. There might be some kind of changes that will be introduced in the basic eligibility conditions. Aspirants are advised that before proceeding for the eligibility criteria they must go through the eligibility in detail which will be mentioned in the Information Brochure which will be released along with the Application Form of AP EDCET 2019. The examination conducting body prescribes the basic eligibility as per the course and the applicants who will be applying for the said course. It must be noted that those who will be found not abiding by the defined eligibility will not be allowed for the admission to the applied course.

  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.
  • Local/ Non-Local status: The candidate must satisfy the local/non-local status conditions as laid down in the Andhra Educational institutions.

Description of local and non-local candidates are given below

Local candidates for whom 85% seats are reserved Candidates who studied for a minimum of four consecutive years ending with the qualifying exam in an institution located in the three university areas viz. Andhra University, Sri Venkateshwara University and Osmania University.

Candidates who resided at the three university areas for four consecutive years preceding the date of the qualifying exam even if they didn’t study at the university there.

Candidates who studied for a minimum of seven consecutive years ending with the qualifying exam in the state.

Candidates who resided in the state for seven consecutive years preceding the date of the qualifying exam even if they didn’t study at an institute there.

Non- Local candidates who can apply for the remaining 15% seats  Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding periods of study outside the State.Candidates either of whose parents is in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and similar other quasi-public institutions within the State.

Spouses of government employees in the state.

  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have the following educational qualifications:
  1. Candidates should have passed/appearing for final year examinations of B.A./B.Sc./B.Sc. (Home Science)/B.Com./ B.C.A./B.B.M. at the time of submitting the Application for APEd.CET-2019
  2. The qualifying exam must be passed with a minimum of 50% marks. However, the candidates belonging to S.C., S.T., B.C. (A/B/C/D/E) and physically handicapped categories should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
NOTE: The candidates who passed B.E/B.Tech with Mathematics, Physics are eligible for admission into the Course.
  • Age Limit: The candidate must have completed 19 years of age by 21st July 2019

AP EDCET Application Form 2019:

The Application Form of AP EDCET 2019 will be released in an online mode by the examination conducting body. Candidates who will be applying for the admission to B.Ed course of 2 years will be required to fill up the form and submit it before the due date. The qualified applicants will be provided with an admission to the government aided colleges of Andhra Pradesh providing endless opportunities to the candidates. The availability of the Application Form will be as per on the scheduled date as announced by the examination conducting body. The submission of the Application form is an important procedure which has to be followed by the candidate, they won’t be able to proceed with the admission procedure further. It is important that the applicants go through the Information Brochure very carefully before proceeding with the Application Form so as to avoid any form of error while providing the details. The Information Brochure will be released along with the Application Form.

The Application Form has to be provided with the Personal Details, Academic Information, Contact details and uploading the photograph and the signature, the specification will be provided in the Information Brochure. The candidates must make sure that the details provided in the form are valid and correct as any form of misleading detail will lead to the cancellation of the candidature. These details will be cross-checked with the original documents while at the time of the final admission. In case the details are found to be incorrect, the aspirant will not be allowed to proceed with the admission procedure further. The final submission of the form will only be after the payment of the Application fee. The amount of which will be mentioned in the information Brochure.

AP EDCET Admit Card 2019:

The Admit Card of AP EDCET 2019 will be released in an online mode and the candidates who have successfully submitted the Application Form will be eligible for downloading the Admit card. It is a mandatory document which will be important to be presented on the day of the entrance test, the candidate’s entry will be prohibited otherwise. The link of AP EDCET Admit Card 2019 will be made available as per on the scheduled date as announced by the examination conducting body. The aspirants will have to provide the details in the login section for downloading the Admit card. The document will not be accessible otherwise with the wrong details in the Login section. The presence of the Admit card provides a validation to the candidate to appear for the exam. It will also be required to be signed by the invigilator on the day of the exam.

The Admit Card of AP EDCET 2019 will mention all the important details which will be relevant for the candidates to appear for the entrance examination. The details which will be provided are the Name of the candidate, Application Number, Roll Number, Course Name, Course Code, Date and Time of the exam, centre allotted to the candidate for the exam and the instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the exam. AP EDCET Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2019:

The Pattern of the examination and Syllabus of AP EDCET 2019 will be made available by the examination conducting body. Candidates who will be appearing for the exam will have to make themselves aware of the format which must be known to the candidate. Being aware of the pattern and the syllabus of the exam will help the candidate in qualifying the entrance examination. Only the qualified candidates will be eligible for the admission which will be through the counselling once the candidate will qualify the entrance test. The question paper shall be divided into 3 parts: Part A, Part B and Part C. Part A and Part B are common for all and for the Part C, candidates can select from choices of methodology. The details of the parts and distribution of marks are given in the table below.

AP EDCET Answer Key 2019:

The AP EDCET 2019 answer key shall be available on the website www.sche.ap.gov.in/edcet soon after the exam is conducted. The candidates who have successfully appeared for the entrance test will be able to download the Answer key. The availability of the Answer Key will be as per the dates as announced by the examination conducting body. The link of the Answer Key will be released and the candidates will have to provide the login credentials for downloading the Answer Key successfully. Once the Answer Key will be available candidates will have to cross-check the answers as marked by them in the entrance exam as to the answer mentioned in the Answer Key. The Answer key will help in making an estimation of the marks to be secured by the candidate in the entrance test.

Objection to AP EDCET Answer Key 2019: The examination conducting body will also be providing an opportunity to the candidates where they can submit an objection to the answer key. In case if the candidate finds any of the Answer marked in the Answer Key to be incorrect and they have the valid reason, they will be able to make an objection to the Answer key. The examination conducting body will provide a window to the candidates where they will have to submit their objection. If the problem is found to be valid, the correct and the revised Answer Key will be released as per on the mentioned date. It must be noted that once the revised Answer key will be released, the objection will not be conducted again.

AP EDCET Result 2019:

The Result of AP EDCET 2019 will be released in an Online mode and the candidates will be able to access it as per on the prescribed date as announced by the examination conducting body. It must be noted that only those candidates who have successfully appeared for the entrance test will be able to check and download the Result of AP EDCET 2019. It is important for the candidates that they must qualify the exam in order to proceed with the admission procedure further. The final seat allotment will be through the counselling procedure which will also be held by the examination authorities. The link of AP EDCET will be released in an online mode and the candidates will have to enter the correct details, the Result will not be accessible otherwise.

The candidates must download the AP EDCET result 2019 and check if they have qualified the entrance exam or not. It must be noted that only after qualifying the entrance test, the candidates will be able to proceed with the admission procedure further and they will have to appear for the counselling round for the final admission. It is important that in order to qualify the test, the aspirant will have to secure at least the minimum of the marks as prescribed by the authorities.

AP EDCET 2019 Counselling

The counselling procedure is held by the examination conducting body with the purpose of the final seat allotment of the candidates qualifying the exam. The candidates will have to report at the allotted centre and must follow up the procedure as defined by the examination conducting authorities. It is an important part that has to be followed by the candidate who desires to take admission to the B.Ed course of 2 years. The counselling schedule will be released after the declaration of the Result and the candidates who have qualified the entrance test will be eligible appear for the counselling. They will be receiving an invitation for the counselling which will mention all the relevant and the important details of AP EDCET 2019 counselling. The candidate must report at the centre allotted to them for the counselling along with the documents for the verification. They will also have to get themselves registered for the counselling further.

Issue of Notification

  • The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will issue a notification in newspapers and place the details of counselling indicating the dates and ranks of the candidates to be attended for Registration, Verification of Certificates and Schedule for Exercising options and also notify the list of Help-line Centres in the designated website.
  • Candidates who fail to report for Certificates verification will not be considered for allotment of seats in any of the colleges.

Certificate Verification

The candidate has to be present at the designated Helpline centre on the designated date and get their documents verified.

Candidates should produce the following certificates:

  • Hall ticket of AP EdCET
  • Rank Card of AP EdCET
  • SSC, Intermediate, Degree Marks Memo
  • Study/ Bonafide Certificate for SEVEN academic years preceding the year of passing a qualifying examination
  • Integrated Caste Certificate of SC/ST/BC/Minorities (if applicable
  • Residence certificate / Aadhar card proof of candidate/parents in Andhra Pradesh for a period of 10 years
  • Income Certificate issued by MRO issued after 1st January of the year of admission [ valid for three years from the date of issue] (in case the candidate desires to claim fee exemption).

PH/NCC/CAP/Sports and Games Certificates (if applicable)
• Transfer Certificate.
• Candidates will be issued a receipt of Certificates at Help-line Centres after Verification.

Exercising Options

  • After the verification process is done with, candidates will be given a login ID on their registered mobile number.
  • Create a password using registration number, hall ticket number and date of birth on the official website https://apedcet.nic.in.
  • Log in to the official website using the login ID, the above-mentioned credentials and the password you created for option entry.
  • Use the OTP that you shall receive on successful login to enter the preferential choice number (option) for each college that you wish to join in case allotted.
  • Select the maximum number of options you can and get a print out of the saved options.

Modification of Options and Freezing

The selected options can be changed any number of times during the allotted time.

  • If after the allotted time is over, the candidate is yet not satisfied with the saved options, the authority shall give another opportunity to modify them.
  • The seats shall be frozen after this and no further modifications can be done.

Final Allotments of Seats

The final allotment order shall be released on the web.

  • Candidates must download the allotment letter and must report through a self-reporting system and also report at the allotted college.
  • Note that both reporting through self-reporting system and reporting at college are important. Doing just one shall not suffice and candidature may be cancelled.

AP EDCET Seat Reservations

Admission to 85% of the seats in each methodology shall be reserved for the local candidates and 15% of the seats shall be left unreserved as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions
