The Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance test will be held in the month of July. The Examination will be starting in the first week of June Tentatively. Candidates who want to apply for the Examination should fill up the form of on time. This is a state level examination who offers the postgraduate course to candidates. This Examination will be conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) These Examination offers various courses and opens the door for the candidates who want their career in Engineering, Architecture, Technology, Business Administration and other courses. This is a state level Examination. This courses are provided by the Government/Private and also the private-Educational Institutions of Karnataka. The Application will release within the month of May. It will release online and there will be some procedures which are important for the candidates to follow while filling up the form. The particulars that would be filled up by the candidates should be furnished very carefully. The candidates should complete the procedure of filling up the form by within the stipulated time. Late submissions of the forms will not at all be accepted by the Examination Authorities. Candidates should know that the Hall Tickets will only be generated to the candidates who have registered successfully. It is very important for the candidates to follow the guidelines of the examination. They should not involve themselves with any argument with the Examination Authority and should follow their instructions.

After the Examination, the Answer keys will be released. The Karnataka Examination Authorities resales the Answer keys so that the candidates can compare their own answers with the correct resales the Answer keys. The results will be released by the 3rd week of July and candidates will get their results online. They will not be sent the result via mail or they will not get any call from the Authorities on their registered mobile number. The candidates have to keep themselves ready with the details which will be needed to download the result. A separate rank list will be prepared on the basis of the scores scored by the candidates. The merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored. The Name and the scores will be listed in the descending order. The candidate with the higher marks will be at the top of the list and the lowest scorer will be at the bottom. The counselling is also done separately. It will be in held separately for different candidates. The candidates are called on the basis of their marks scored and their category. The GATE qualified candidates will have a separate counselling for themselves.

All the details on the counselling process and new updates will be announced by Karnataka Examination Authority There will be two rounds of counselling. Candidates have the option choices for both the rounds. The documents which are to be submitted should be valid. Only the eligible candidates will be called by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Appearing for the Examination does not give the candidates the liability to attend the counselling. Only candidates with merit are called for the Examination. If two candidates score the same marks, the tie is broken on the two grounds. The first is on the last qualifying degree marks, and the second is candidates who are older is preferred. The ranks of the respective disciplines will be assigned to the candidates by the Authorities. If in any case, the candidate does not possess the last qualification marks they have to obtain the seal and signature from the Head of the Institution from where the candidate has perused the last qualifying Examination on the provisional mark. The whole counseling process comprises of four stages. They are the Registration, Document Verification, Form fill up, Seat allotment and reporting to the colleges and Universities.

Karnataka PGCET Counselling Procedure

The counsellings for the Karnataka PGCET 2018 has some procedure and they are detailed below:

Registration: Candidates have to register themselves online in the first step of counselling. They have to register after the merit list is announced. They will be allotted helpline centers where candidates have to report in. They have to report to their nearby helpline Centers. After the registration, the candidates should go for the second process.

Document Verification: After the registration, they need to verify their documents in the helpline centers. They there have to submit their documents for verification. They have to submit the original documents with the xerox copies. The photocopies of the documents should be attested by a Gazetted Officer. GATE qualified candidates, Non-Karnataka Applicants/Sponsored Applicants/QIP Applicants/Part Time Applicants will have a different session of Counselling. Counselling process will not proceed without verification of the valid documents. Upon successful verification, candidates will be given verification slip. They will also be given a confidential Key which will have login details of the third step that is filling up the form.

Form Fill up: The third step is filling up the form. The candidates have to furnish the details required in the counseling. Candidates need to log in with the confidential details that were issued after successful verification of the documents. Then the Karnataka Examination Authorities will provide the candidate with the list of all the participating institutions, courses offered and the total number of seats. The candidate needs to choose the course they want to go for.

Seat Allotment: Seat allotment will be done in the online mode. The seat will be allotted to the students on the factors like Rank in Entrance Examination, The choice of the colleges and universities that the candidates have preferred and availability of the seats. As there will be two rounds, after the second round of allotment, the vacant seats will be converted to general seats for the third round of allotment.

Reporting Colleges and Universities: After getting the confirmation from the Authorities the candidates should report to the colleges and the Universities. The confirmation will come from the Examination Authorities after successive rounds of counselling via a message in the registered mobile number. The candidates have to report the Karnataka Examination Authorities after the confirmation regarding joining the college. Candidates have to pay a fee regarding the Admission without which the Admission process will not be completed.
