SMU 2019 Application Form
The Application Form of Sikkim Manipal University 2019 will be available in an online as well as offline mode. Candidates will have to fill up the form and submit it before the due date. The availability of the forms will be as per the date as mentioned in the officially released schedule. It must be noted that the details provided in the form has o be valid and correct as any form of discrepancy in the form will prohibit the candidate from proceeding with the admission procedure further. The submission and the payment of the Application Fee will as per the mode through which the candidate will be applying for.
A candidate may apply either Online or Offline. The process of the SMU 2019 Application form filling is given below.
Online Application: The candidates want to fill the Application form online are required to visit www.apply.smu.edu.in.
Offline Application: The candidates can download the Application form & Prospectus from the University website free of cost. The cost of the Application form is Rs.800/-. The candidates have to fill the Application form and post it along with demand draft of Rs.800/- made in favour of “Sikkim Manipal University” payable at Gangtok.
Note:
- Use only Black/Blue ball pen to fill up the form.
- The application form should be filled neatly. Avoid overwriting.
- Individual boxes should contain only a single letter or number.

- Fill the Code of the Applied Courses properly. If the candidate wishes to apply for more than one course, then first preference should be written under Code 1, second preference under code 2 and so on.
- Fill your name in CAPITAL LETTERS as recorded in Class X marksheet/certificates. Leave one blank box between the adjacent words. If the provided space is not sufficient, then words can be abbreviated.
- Enter your Date of Birth in DDMMYY format.
- Tick the appropriate box in case of Gender.
- Write your Nationality.
- Write your caste GEN/SC/ST/OBC/MBC.
- Tick the appropriate box of the entrance exam appearing.
- Fill your Parent name in CAPITAL LETTERS as recorded in Class X mark sheet/certificates. Leave one blank box between the adjacent words. If the provided space is not sufficient, then words can be abbreviated.
- Provide a complete postal address with PIN CODE.
- Provide your valid contact number and email id for future communication.
- Paste recent passport size colour photograph and sign within the given box.

SMU 2019 Admit Card / Hall Ticket
The candidates will be intimated about the e-hall ticket and booking of test centre through e-mail. The SMIT 2018 Admit card contains application number, program applied for, the address of the examination centre, date & time of the examination. The Admit card of Sikkim Manipal University is an important document which must be presented by the candidate on the day of the examination. The Hall Ticket consists of all the important details which will be required by the candidate on the day of the examination. It must be noted that the Hall Ticket or the Admit card will be available only to those candidates who have successfully submitted the Application Form before the due date.
It is advised to the candidates that they must go through the details of the Admit card very carefully. The information provided on the Admit card will be the Name of the candidate, Roll Number, Course Name, Date and time of the exam, Centre allotted to the candidate for the exam and the important instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the examination. After going through the details, in case if any of the information mentioned in the Hall Ticket is found to be invalid or incorrect, the applicant will have to contact the examination conducting body immediately for the rectification. The applicant must bring multiple photocopies of the Admit Card on the day of the exam, in case the downloaded once is lost or damaged on the day of the exam.
Details of SMU Examination
The candidates appearing in SMIT offline test should reach at the test centre 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination. The rules & regulations related to the examination will be announced by invigilator at the test centre.
- Test Type: Objective
- The entrance test will cover 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English.
- There is no negative marking.
SMU 2019 Results
The results will be declared on the official website of the University (www.smu.edu.in). The availability of the result will be as per on the date as mentioned in the officially released schedule. Candidates who have successfully appeared for the exam will be able to go through the result and check if they have qualified the entrance exam or not. The University will be releasing the result in an online mode on the official website of the University. The login section to check and download the result will be available on the official website of the University. It must be noted though that the credentials in the login section of SMU must be valid and correct, the wrong detail will prohibit the candidate from accessing the result.
The candidate must check the details provided in the Result PDF very carefully. The PDF will mention the Marks secured by the candidate, Name of the course, Date of the Exam, Total number of marks, Roll Number of the candidate, status of the result and the instructions to be followed by the candidate after the result declaration. The candidate must go through the PDF and in case of any form of error must contact the authorities immediately. The applicant must note that merely qualifying the entrance exam will not provide any form of assurance for the admission and the candidate will be admitted only through the counselling procedure.
Sikkim Manipal University SMU 2019 Counselling Procedure
The candidates who will qualify the entrance test are required to visit the University website www.smu.edu.in (for SMIT Offline Test for B Tech & UGET1 for MBBS) and www.manipal.edu (for MU-OET) to check the list of candidates eligible to attend the counselling, counselling schedule, venue and other relevant details. Counselling letter will be sent to the successful candidate by e-mail. All the details related to counselling and admission will be given in counselling letter.
Note:
- Presence of the eligible candidate at the counselling venue is mandatory.
- If any candidate is unable to make his/her presence due to unavoidable circumstances for the counselling, he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.
- The representative must carry all the required documents and the full course fee.
- The absence of the candidate or representative at the counselling venue on a given date and time will result in instantaneous cancellation of seat.
- The course chosen by the candidate representative is final and no changes will be made under any circumstances.
- The candidate will be called according to their rank obtained in the entrance test. Only the candidate/representative will be allowed in the counselling hall.
- When all the seats are filled in a course, candidates can choose to be waitlisted. Candidates will be waitlisted as per their rank order in the counselling.
- Candidates may opt for one course and simultaneously get waitlisted for other courses. Such candidates are required to pay the fee for the course to which they are admitted. Failure to pay the fee will result in instantaneous forfeiture of the seat. On subsequent selection to the course to which they are waitlisted, these candidates need to pay the difference in fees, if any.
- The candidates who choose only to be waitlisted need not pay any fee until they receive any selection intimation from the University.

The candidate has to pay the first instalment of the course fees, registration fees, caution deposit, hostel fees and ‘Mess & Utility Advance’ should be paid by ‘Account Payee Demand Draft’ drawn in favour of “Sikkim Manipal University” payable at “Gangtok” at the time of admission.
PAYMENT OF FEES IN CASH WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Candidates are required to remit the fees (other than hostel fee and mess & utility advance, which can be paid in Indian Rupees (INR)) in US Dollars by demand draft drawn in favour of “Sikkim Manipal University” payable at “Gangtok”. The clearing charges are to be borne by the student if instruments get cleared from outside India.
The payment can also be made in Indian Rupees (INR) provided that draft is made only from Non-Resident External (NRE) account of the sponsor with an ‘Inward Remittance Certificate’ obtained from the draft issuing bank. The fee can also be paid through SWIFT Transfer from outside India. In such cases, the sender should provide the copies of proof of money transfer and the transaction charges will be borne by the sender. The payment instruction for SWIFT transfer is as follows:

Rules of Refund & Withdrawal
- SMIT follows the withdrawal and refund policy as per AICTE/UGC guidelines.
- Students of MBBS, MD/MS and other courses if chooses to withdraw from the program then 10% of processing fee will be deducted on total annual fee* of the 1st year from 1st Round of counselling to Mop up round.
- Any withdrawal after Mop up round to last date up to which students can be admitted against vacancies arising due to any reason by the medical institution, 100% fee for the 1st year which has to be paid will be forfeited.
- Any withdrawal is done after the last date up to which students can be admitted against vacancies arising due to any reason then 100% of tuition fee applicable for the remaining course has to be paid.
*Inclusive of course fees and non-tuition fees for the first year but exclusive of caution money.
Note: Registration fee is non – refundable.
