How To Check NEET Exam Result 2025?
The NTA NEET Result is announced on the official website and thus shall be available in online mode. Candidates’ should note that the result can be checked online only. Further, the students can follow the below-mentioned steps to check their results.

- On the homepage, login by first entering the application number and password.
- Then click on the “Submit” button.

How is NTA NEET 2025 Result Calculated?
The authorities follow a pattern or scheme to calculate the result or score of the students. Moreover, basically, there are 2 phases of the calculation process. Firstly, the officials calculate the raw score in accordance with the marking scheme. Thus, while calculating the raw score, 4 marks are awarded for a correct answer, zero for unattempted questions, and 1 mark get deducted for each incorrect answer.
Further, after calculating the raw score, the officials prepare a merit list to indicate the names of the selected candidates. The complete details about the merit list are mentioned below.
NEET Merit List Result 2025
The MCC is responsible for releasing the NEET Merit List 2025. It indicates the names of all the selected candidates. This merit list is released after the result declaration. Wherein, students are ranked in order of merit as per their performance in the entrance exam. This rank list helps the officials in segregating students on the basis of merit and carrying out the admission processes. It further is available on the official website for download. Candidates’ can thus download it easily, as it shall be available in PDF format. Further, the merit list is released in two formats, which are as follows:
- Rank List for Counselling under 15% All India Quota
- Rank List for Seats Other than All India Quota Seats
These merit lists are then handed over to the DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. Thus, the officials of DGHS are responsible for seat allotment. The seats are allotted through Online Counselling. Furthermore, admission to state medical institutes is through counselling, which shall be conducted by the respective state authorities. The results are forwarded to these state counsels by the DGHS.

Candidates have to score the minimum qualifying marks for being eligible to get admission. The candidates failing to do so shall not be eligible for admission. NEET CutOff 2025
The cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying marks which each candidate needs to score for being eligible to get admission. Moreover, the cut-off marks are declared category-wise. Hence, students need to check the cutoff marks of their category. Further, if they have scored the minimum qualifying marks as per their category, only then they are eligible for admission. NTA NEET Tie-Breaking Criteria
Sometimes, two students end up having the exact same score. Thus, at that time it becomes difficult for the authorities to rank them. Hence, during that time, the tie-breaking criteria come into play. The authorities consider the NEET Tie-Breaking Criteria to further decide the final score of such students. Further, the marks of candidates are determined in accordance with the following rules:
- Candidates with higher marks in Biology (Zoology & Botany) in the NEET 2025 Exam are placed at a higher rank.
- If the tie still remains, then the student’s marks in the Chemistry section are considered.
- In addition, if the tie is still not resolved then the candidate who attempted fewer wrong answers in all the sections is given preference.
- Furthermore, the age of the candidate is taken into consideration if the tie continues. The older candidate is further ranked higher than the younger ones.
Re-Evaluation Procedure of NEET 2025 Result
The National Testing Agency (NTA) uses computer software for checking the answer sheets. Hence, the re-evaluation facility is not provided by the exam conducting body. However, candidates can report errors in OMR Sheets, in case there are any. Candidates should get in touch with the authorities to report. If any correction is required, then the authorities can make the required changes and update the result.
NEET Answer Key 2025
The solution key contains the answers to all the questions that are asked in the NEET Exam. It is released before the result declaration. In addition, the NTA NEET Answer Key is released in pdf format. The exam conducting body releases the answer key for allowing students to calculate a rough score. It helps them in maintaining a transparent relationship with the students. That is because the final result is made as per this solution key only.

NEET Counselling 2025
The counselling for the 15% All India Quota Seats is conducted by the Directorate General of Health Sciences, Govt. of India. NTA NEET Counselling is the last and final round of the admission process. Only the merit list students are eligible for this round. Moreover, it is compulsory for all merit students to appear for this round. Candidates who do not participate in counselling may lose out their seats to other deserving candidates.
Furthermore, candidates need to carry a set of documents along for the counselling round. These documents are required for completing the verification process. The state seats are further allotted by the counselling conducted by respective counselling bodies. After the document verification process, the seats are allotted to the students. However, certain factors are considered during the seat allotment. The factors taken into consideration during seat allotment are seat availability, the rank of the candidate, and reservation policy.
