National Testing Agency will be releasing the JEE Main Answer key 2019 for all the questions asked in the examination. The NTA will be conducting Joint Entrance Exam Main from 2019 onwards. JEE Main 2019 Answer key will be released in the online mode by the National Testing Agency.
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), a government-run body, is in charge of administering the largest and the most important engineering entrance exam i.e. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2018. The exam is conducted every year in the month of April. JEE Main is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and various other engineering colleges/institutes. Recent updates from the CBSE is that the JEE Main 2018 offline mode will be conducted on 8th April 2018. Dates for JEE Main 2018 online mode are still awaited. The online application forms for the same will be released in the 1st week of December 2018.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern
To appear for any examination, every candidate must make sure that he/she knows the exam pattern of it thoroughly. This section will give a detailed view of the JEE Main 2018 exam pattern, the name and number of papers under this exam, the language of question paper, sections under each paper, the mode of exam, the marking scheme and other specifications of JEE Main 2018.
JEE Main Paper 1 and Paper 2
JEE Main is divided into 2 papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2.
- Paper 1 is taken by students who want to opt for courses like B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) or B.E (Bachelor of Engineering). These courses are chosen by engineering students.
- Paper 2 is taken by architecture students who want to opt for courses like B. Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) and B. Planning (Bachelor of Planning).
Candidates can apply for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 or can choose to take both the exams i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.
JEE Main 2018 Mode of Exam
JEE Main 2018 is conducted in both online (computer-based test) and offline (pen and paper-based) mode. CBSE has recently announced that the offline mode of JEE Main 2018 will be held on 8th April 2018. The dates for online mode are 15th and 16th of April 2018.
Important things to keep in mind:
While filling the online application form for the exam, if an engineering aspirant is choosing to take Paper 1, he/she can opt for either the online or the offline mode of exam.
If the candidate chooses to take paper 2, he/she can only give this exam in offline mode because paper 2 includes the drawing section.
In case, the candidate chooses to take both paper 1 and paper 2, he/she can either opt for offline mode for both the papers or choose CBT for Paper 1 and offline for Paper 2.

Choice of language for question paper
for all the examination centres cities, candidates can choose the medium of the question paper as English and Hindi.
For examination centres Cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, candidates can choose the medium of question paper in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
Sections of JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 and Paper 2
In the past few years, there have been no changes in the exam pattern of JEE Main. The information served below is taken from exam papers of last year.

JEE Main 2018 Marking Scheme
There will be 3 sections A, B, C from each subject i.e. physics, chemistry and maths. Each section will have 30 questions. The question paper will be of maximum 360 marks with a total of 90 questions. 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1/4th will be deducted for every wrong answer. There will be no deduction of marks for not attempting the question. You cannot fill in more than 1 answer for each question. Marking multiple answers will be rejected and the answer will be marked incorrect.
There will be 3 parts in this paper part 1, part 2, part 3 from each section. This paper will be marked from total 390 marks. Part 1 will cover mathematics with 30 objective type questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks each. Part 2 will be aptitude test with 50 objective type questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks each. Part 3 will be drawing aptitude test. This part will have 2 questions for a total of 70 marks. Marks awarded will be based on the drawing skills of the candidate.

Other Details Regarding JEE Main 2018
For paper 1 the slot timings are from 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM. And for paper 2 the exam time has been schedule to 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. These two papers will be held in offline mode on the 8th of April 2018 (Sunday).
For candidates who have opted to give the online examination will have to appear for the examination on 15th and 16th of April 2018 (Sunday and Monday) and the exam will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 AM and if required will be conducted in the second shift from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Please note that the Computer Based Examination for Paper –1 in Colombo, Dhaka, Kathmandu, Singapore, Bahrain, Dubai, Muscat, Riyadh, Qatar, Sharjah and Dhaka will be held on 15th April 2018.
All the questions for JEE Main 2018 will be multiple choice questions except for the drawing test.
1/4th marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There will be no negative marking for not attempting the question.
Use of electronic devices is prohibited in the examination hall.
