JoSAA Second Seat Allotment Result Updates

The JoSAA second round Seat Allotment Result has been published online. The registration and choice filling had started on the 15th of June 2018. In order to prepare the JoSAA second Round Seat allotment result, the Reconciliation of data, Seat Allocation, verification and validation of documents was done by JoSAA.  The JoSAA second round seat allotment result has been made available on the official website which is josaa.nic.in. JOSAA has announced the has josaa 2nd round seat allotment result for JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2018 qualified candidates.

Candidates are allotted highest possible seat according to their preferences. The AIR (All India Rank) of the candidate is also considered while allotting a seat. Those candidates who manage to meet the cutoff criteria will be listed out in the released rank list. The result of JoSAA 2018 counselling and seat allotment is announced in online mode. 3. You will be redirected to a new page.
4. Enter your JEE Main Roll number and password.
5. Click on ‘Login’.
6. JoSAA Round 2 seat allotment result will be displayed on your screen.

Seat Acceptance and Payment of Fee

Those candidates who have accepted the allotted seat have to first download the provisional seat allotment letter. He/she will then have to pay the seat acceptance fee through e-challan or SBI Net banking. Payment of Rs. 45,000 by the general candidates and Rs. 20,000 by the SC/ST/Gen-PwD/OBC-NCL-PwD/SC-PwD or ST-PwD candidates have to be done through e-Challan or SBI Net Banking.

What After Josaa 2nd Round Seat Allotment?

The candidates who have been allotted seats in the IIT must report to any one of the reporting centers of the IITs. A candidate who is allotted a seat in a NIT+ Institute must report at any one of the reporting centers of NITs’ list.

Can I withdraw from the JoSAA Seat Allotment?

Candidates who have already accepted a seat through JoSAA seat allocation 2018 will be able to withdraw the seat by reporting at a Reporting Centre before the final round of seat allocation. So if there are 7 rounds, the candidate will be able to withdraw only till the seat allotment of the 6th Round. He/she will not be able to withdraw after the results of the 7th round have been declared. The seat acceptance fee will be refunded to these candidates after deducting Rs. 1000 as processing charges.
