OJEE Counselling Step-Wise Procedure 2025
The counselling procedure is the last step in the admission process. Therefore, candidates must acquaint themselves with the process carefully. Below is a detailed procedure.
Step 1: Online Registration
Firstly, the candidates need to register online for Odisha JEE Counselling. So, the registration link will activate as per the schedule. In order to register, the candidates need to provide their necessary details, such as OJEE scores, JEE scores, etc. It is mandatory to fill all ‘*’ marked fields. In order to proceed further, the candidates must ensure that they register online and submit the details.
Step 2: Payment of Odisha JEE Counselling Fee
After the successful registration, the candidates need to pay the OJEE Counselling Fee in online mode. It is very necessary to pay the fee otherwise the registration won’t be counted.
Step 3: Filling of Choices
The candidates need to fill their choice of colleges. A list of colleges and their branches will appear on the screen in a sequence. Also, candidates can fill the choices by adding via multiple options. Also, they must choose the college on the basis of their priority.
Step 4: Mock Result
Following the choice filling step, the mock result will be released. In order to obtain the mock result, the candidates need to visit the OJEE official website. In the mock test result, the candidates will be able to check their allotment status. Further, they can also modify their preferences.
Step 5: Locking of Choices
The opportunity of locking the choices will only be available after the publishing of the mock result. So, the candidates must preview their choices carefully and then lock them. Further, the candidates will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) on their registered mobile number. Now, enter the OTP and lock the choices. Also, candidates must remember that once the choices are locked, they cannot modify it.
Step 6: Seat Allotment- Round 1
Kindly note that there will be various rounds of seat allotment. In this 1st allotment round, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their rank, choices, etc. Also, those who did not qualify in the 1st round of seat allotment must wait for the other rounds.
Step 7: Payment of Admission Fees
Qualifying candidates in the seat allotment round-1 have to pay the requisite admission fees. So, the admission Fees for SC, ST, or PC candidates is Rs. 5000 while it is RS 10,000 for General candidates. The candidates can pay the fees via online mode or challan. Those who do not pay the admission fee will not be able to proceed with the further admission procedure.
Step 8: Verification of Documents
Candidates who have been allotted seats have to report to the nodal centres for document verification. Therefore, all the candidates must carry the necessary documents without fail. The authorities will verify all the documents and hence, confirm the admission.
Step 9: Seat Allotment – Round 2
Candidates can check their seat allotment status online. In order to view it, the candidates need to login online using their credentials. Now, there will either be an up-gradation of the choices or it will remain the same as the previous one.
Also, those who could not secure a seat in the 1st allotment round might get a seat in this round. Anyway, those who accept the seat in the 2 round have to report to the nodal centre for verification of documents.
Step 10: Final Round of Allotment
As the name suggests, this is the final round for allotment of seats. Candidates who find their names in the final seat allotment round have to get their documents verified and pay the necessary admission fees.
Further, the previously allotted candidates have to download the allotment letter from the official website. And, lastly, the candidates need to report to the specified college and produce the seat allotment letter & fee payment slip.
Documents Required for Counselling
Candidates have to carry the following list of documents in order to get admission. So, the college authorities will verify all the documents and allot seats to the deserving candidates.

- Registration slip
- Photocopy of 12th mark sheet
- Photocopy of 10+2 pass certificate & mark sheet
- School leaving/ college leaving certificate (Xerox)
- Original certificate from the head of the institution last attended
- Original ‘permanent resident of Odisha’ certificate/nativity certificate from concerned tahsildar
- Certificate of employment of candidate’s parent/spouse employer: govt. of Odisha/ Government of India/ Government of India undertakings and/ Government of Odisha undertakings located in Odisha at the time of application
- Original SC/ ST certificate by birth, if applicable
- Original certificate of ex-serviceman
- Certificate in support of outlying Oriya speaking tract (OL) and certificate issued by OJEE with respect to Oriya test conducted by OJEE
- Original relevant managerial/ supervisory experience certificate of a minimum of five years, for candidates seeking admission to PGDM (executive) programme. The candidate has to submit a no-objection certificate from the present employer
