Maharashtra Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2025
To get admission into the first year of the three years diploma program, students need to possess the Maharashtra Polytechnic eligibility criteria. There are different criteria for candidates belonging to different states and castes. Students are advised to check the eligibility conditions of Maharashtra Polytechnic carefully before registering for the Maharashtra Diploma Counselling.

Diploma in Pharmacy | ||
1. | Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate | (i) The candidate should be an Indian National; (ii) Passed the HSC with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subject Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology). NOTE: – Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only. (2) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National. – (i) Passed the HSC with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the subject Mathematics or Biology (Botany and Zoology); (ii) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act. |

DET Maharashtra Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria 2025
Here we have provided the eligibility criteria of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025 in detail for the candidates belonging to different educational boards in India.

The candidates who have passed SSC Examination prior to March 2010, the aggregate marks shall be grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in any 5 subjects where he/she has scored maximum marks. II.The candidates who have passed SSC Examination after March 2009, the aggregate marks shall be total marks of 5 subjects taken into consideration and mentioned on the Mark sheet. |
2. | For ICSE Candidates | I. The student seeking admission on the basis of Group 1 & Group 2 subjects only, the aggregate marks shall be the grand total of marks in any of the 5 subjects from Group 1 & Group 2 where he/she has scored maximum marks. II. The student seeking Maharashtra Polytechnic admission on the basis of Group 1, Group 2 & Group 3, aggregate marks shall be the grand total of all subjects from all groups. |
3. | For CBSE Candidates | The aggregate mark means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate, including all subjects as declared on Mark sheet. |
4. | For CBSE/ICSE/Any Other BoardCandidates: | In case the result of the candidate is given in terms of grades, such Candidates are required to submit the graded result into the equivalent marks authorised from the concerned institute /Board. Candidates passing SSC from other than State Boards or Central Boards shall bring an equivalent certificate from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE). |
Important Instructions Of Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025
The candidates must keep certain points in mind whilst applying for admission to Maharashtra Polytechnic 2025. Therefore, in order to help the candidates, we have provided information regarding the same. Check further below.
1. Maharashtra Polytechnic Admission to Mining and My surveying & Mining Engineering course: Female candidates are not eligible for admission to Mining and My surveying & Mining Engineering course.
2. Admission to the Candidates who want to take repeat fresh Maharashtra diploma admission in the first year of Engineering/Technology diploma course during the current academic year:
The candidates who had already been admitted to any Maharashtra polytechnic diploma course during the previous academic years are eligible for fresh admission to the first-year diploma course during the current academic year subject to the condition that such candidates will not be eligible for exemption in any subjects passed during the earlier academic years. Such candidates shall have to produce NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the institute of earlier admission in the “proforma N” given in the brochure.
3. NRI/OCI/PIO/CIWGC/FN candidates – There are no seats sanctioned by AICTE for All Maharashtra Diploma admission in the academic year 2025-23 for admission under State CET Cell.
4. The NRI candidates are eligible to apply online for Maharashtra Polytechnic admission against the Institute level seats, only in Unaided Polytechnics /Institutes. The extent to which such NRI candidates shall be admitted is limited to 5% of the sanctioned intake.
5. The eligibility of the candidates passing the SSC (Std. X) equivalent examination from a school/college/Examination Board situated outside India shall be further verified by the institute to which the candidate is admitted. Hence, such candidates are advised to get their equivalence certificates from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education at the time of admission.
