JEE Main 2018 rank list for Paper 1 shall be released by CBSE on 30th April 2018 along with the result. The rank list will carry the names of all candidates who shall qualify JEE Main Paper 1. The rank list for Paper 2 will be released on 31st May 2018 along with the JEE Main 2018 Result having the name of all the qualified candidates only.

National Testing Agency will be releasing the JEE Main Answer key 2019 for all the questions asked in the examination. The NTA will be conducting Joint Entrance Exam Main from 2019 onwards. JEE Main Answer key 2019 Official will be released in the online mode by the National Testing Agency.

JEE Main 2018 Rank List
CBSE will release the JEE Main 2018 Rank List for Paper 1 on 30th April 2018 in online mode. Candidates who have appeared in the examination and qualify JEE Main Paper 1 exam, their name will be listed in the rank list. In the same way, the rank list for JEE Main Paper 2 shall be released by CBSE in 31st May 2018. JEE Main 2018 rank list will carry Name of the candidate, Roll Number, Category Rank (CR), All India Rank (AIR) etc. With the help of rank list candidates can get an idea about the college for admission in B.Tech. Programmes. Candidates will get admission into B.Tech Programmes in 31 NITs, 20 IIITs, 22 CFITs on the basis of the All India Rank (AIR) secured by them in JEE Main 2018.
Steps to download JEE Main 2018 Rank List
Candidates who qualify the exam shall only be able to download their rank list. Candidates who will not pass the examination, their rank list shall not be generated by CBSE. For downloading the rank list candidates have to follow few steps which are given below.
- Visit the website of JEE Main https://jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/Public/Home.aspx.
- Find the link to download JEE Main 2018 rank list.
- Enter the required credentials like Roll Number and Date of Birth.
- Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
- JEE Main 2018 Rank List will appear on the screen in PDF format.
- Take the printout of it and keep it safe for further use.

JEE Main 2018 Cut Off
JEE Main 2018 Rank List shall be prepared on the basis of marks scored by each candidate in the examination. The rank list will have the names of only those candidates who will clear the cut off of JEE Main 2018. JEE Main 2018 cut off marks will be decided by the CBSE on the basis of the total number of candidates appeared in the examination and marks scored by them. The Cut off will be the minimum mark which should be scored by all candidates to qualify JEE Main Paper 1. Candidates who will clear the cut off marks shall be eligible for appearing in the JEE Main Paper 2 examination. The expected cut off for JEE Main is given below in the table.

Important Points about JEE Main 2018 Rank list
The JEE Main rank list is important for all the qualified candidates to know about their All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank (CR). Some more key points about the rank list are mentioned below.
- Candidates will get admission into B.Tech Programme in NITs, IIITs, CFITs on the basis of JEE Main rank list.
- The marks of Class 12th will not be considered for preparing the rank list.
- The rank list will be released along with the result of JEE Main 2018.
- For admission in IITs, IIITs, NITs etc. candidates should have scored 75% marks or be in top 20 rank in class 12th.
Tie – Breaker Rule
For admission into B.E./B.Tech Programme
Candidates who will score same marks in JEE Main 2018 Paper 1 for admission into B.E./B.Tech. programmes, the rank of such candidates will be decided on the basis of following points.
- Candidate whose marks in Mathematics is more than others will be given better rank.
- In case tie still continues then candidate whose marks in Physics is more than others will be given better rank.
- If tie still continues then the ratio of total correct and incorrect response will be considered and candidate will be given rank accordingly.
- If all the above measures fail, then candidates will be given same rank.
For admission into B.Arch./B.Planning Programme
Candidates who will score same marks in JEE Main 2018 Paper 2 for admission into B.Arch./B.Planning programmes, the rank for such candidates will be decided on the basis of following points.
- Candidate whose marks in Aptitude Test is more than others will be given better rank.
- In case tie still continues then candidate whose marks in Drawing Test is more than others will be given better rank.
- If tie still continues then the ratio of total correct and incorrect response will be considered and candidate will be given rank accordingly.
- If all the above measures fail, then candidates will be given same rank.
