SET 2018 Registration Process | Application Fee and Details

SET stands for Symbiosis Entrance Examination. This a University level common entrance examination conducted for various undergraduate courses like B.A LL.B./ B.B.A LL.B/ B.Des./ BCA/ BBA (IT)/ B.A.(Mass Communication)/ B.Sc (Economics) Hons./ B.A. (Liberal Arts)/ B.Sc (Liberal Arts)/ B.Sc (Culinary Arts)/ B.Tech. These courses are offered by the colleges affiliated to Symbiosis International University (SIU) which is also the exam conducting authority.

The Application Form for SET 2018 had been released on 29th January 2018 and the Application form for the same has been closed on 14th April 2018. SET 2018 Exam will be held on 5th May 2018.

Points to Remember

Symbiosis Entrance Test 2018 registration was open on the website set-test.org on 29th January 2018 till 14th April 2018.

All aspiring candidates have to first register themselves and can register for maximum two examinations; one that will be held in the morning session and the other that will be held in the afternoon session.

Candidates will not be allowed to make any changes to the application form after the last date of application submission.

During registration, candidates will also be required to upload a scanned image of their recent photograph.

The information entered by the candidate should be accurate and valid. In case the information is found to be incorrect, the candidature of the candidate will be canceled.

Applicants also have to make an application payment. This payment can be made through Bill-desk gateway, axis bank gateway, Indian bank gateway or demand draft.

If the candidate is paying through demand draft, he/she has to submit a DD of Rs. 1750 from any nationalized bank drawn in the favor of Symbiosis Test Secretariat payable at Pune.

How to fill SET 2018 Application form

Candidates can follow the steps given below to fill the online application form for SET 2018:

Registration

All applicants have to first register themselves on the online portal where they have to create an account. Candidates have to click on the registration link. Enter registration details and a valid email-ID and phone number. Click on “save and continue”. Upon successful registration, a password will be sent to the registered email ID and candidate has to log in using the password and user ID.

Filling up the SET 2018 Application Form

Here candidates will be required to fill in correct information like personal details, academic details, address for communication, course opted for admission and preferred exam center.

Uploading Images

The candidate has to now upload the scanned image of his/her photograph by clicking on the “choose file” option. After choosing the image, click on “upload”.  The image has to be uploaded to a file size of not more than 100 KB.

Payment of Application fees

After uploading, candidates will be required to make payments either in offline mode or in online mode. In online mode, payment can be made through Bill-desk Gateway, Axis Bank Gateway, Indian Bank Gateway. The offline mode of payment includes a demand draft of Rs. 1750 from any nationalized bank drawn in the favor of Symbiosis Test Secretariat payable at Pune.

Taking a print out of complete SET 2018 application form

After the application form has been completed and submitted, candidates must take a print out of the same and keep it safe.

Please note that if a candidate wants to submit his candidature to a preferred UG programmes, he/she has to pay an additional fee of Rs. 1000 which will be non-refundable. Payment towards the programmes must be made through the website only (set-test.org). After making the payment for SET/SLAT/SEED/SITEEE, proceed to complete the online registration form (Part II) for Programme (s) registration and the respective institute(s).

An institute may offer one or more programmes, so the candidate must make sure that they have selected the preferred programmes before the last date. Indian National and NRI candidates also have to apply under SET 2018 to seek admission to the select Undergraduate programmes of Symbiosis International Deemed University.
