Every year Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology(IIST) conducts online centralized counselling for admission to undergraduate B Tech and dual degree programme. It does not conduct any entrance exam. Candidates are given admission to IIST on the basis of JEE Advanced score and rank. Interested candidate can register and fill up the application form for admission to IIST for the academic session 2018.

IIST offers the following undergraduate programmes

In the Dual Degree programme introduced in 2017, students receive on successful completion of the 5 year (10 semesters) programme, a B.Tech. degree in Engineering Physics and a M.S./M.Tech. degree in one of the following four streams.
- M.S. in Astronomy and Astrophysics
- M.S. in Solid State Physics
- M.Tech. in Earth System Science
- M.Tech. in Optical Engineering
There is no option to exit the program with a B.Tech degree. The students will give their preference for the M.S./M.Tech. specializations at the end of the sixth semester. They will pursue one of the four specializations based on their academic performance (C.G.P.A) up to the sixth semester.
IIST Application Form 2018
Before filling up the application form, candidates must know the required eligibility criteria for IIST 2018 Admission. Applicants need to appear in JEE Advanced 2018 exam. To participate in the counselling and admission round, candidate must fill up the application form. Here is a step by step process on how register and fill up the application form for IIST 2018
Registration
Candidates must register themselves by visiting the online portal i.e admission.iist.ac.in, on the application portal page, they have to click on “undergraduate admission – 2018” option. Upon clicking, a registration page will be displayed on the screen. On the registration page candidates have to enter the following details :
- JEE Main roll number 2018
- JEE Advanced roll number 2018
- Valid Email ID
NOTE: After registering, a unique login ID will be generated. Candidates must note down the id in order to fill up the application form.
Filling up of IIST B Tech Application Form
After registration, candidates have to log in using their registered id and fill up the following details
- Name
- Address
- Contact Number
- Marks obtained in JEE Advanced 2018
- Marks obtained in JEE Mains 2018

After filling up the application form, candidates must review all the entered details and then proceed to pay the registration fee online through SBI-COLLECT (www.onlinesbi.com) as given in the table below:

Printout of Filled Application Form
After successful completion of application fee payment, application form and payment slip duly submitted will be displayed on the screen. The candidate is advised to take the print out of the same for future use.
Candidates are advised to fill up the application form carefully. After the submission of application form, candidates cannot make any changes afterwards and the details submitted while filling the application form will be considered final by IIST admission authority.
