TANCET 2019 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is prescribed by the examination conducting body of the University. The eligibility is defined as per the course for which the candidate is applying for and it must be made sure that they are fulfilling the required criteria. The Information Brochure which will be released along with the Application Form of TANCET 2019 will also provide the basic eligibility condition of the course for which the candidate has to apply for. It is advised that the candidate must go through the eligibility in detail and then only proceed with TANCET Application Form 2019.

General Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates appearing for their Final year/Semester exam in their qualifying exam will also be eligible to apply for TANCET 2019.
  • The Candidates who have qualified GATE will not have to appear for TANCET 2019 for the admission to Post Graduate courses.
  • Candidates not from the State of Tamil Nadu will also be eligible to apply for the exam of TANCET 2019 as per the guidelines prescribed by the examination conducting body.
  • Applicants who have secured a valid score in GATE in Engineering Sciences and Life Sciences will have to appear for TANCET exam 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.E./ M.Plan

The candidates applying for the Post Graduate courses must make sure that they must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent as per the discipline in which they will be applying for PG.
  • The candidate must have qualified the degree with at least 50% marks (45% marks for the candidates from SC/ST category).
  • Candidate with a valid Score Card of GATE will also be eligible to apply and appear for TANCET 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for MBA

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline for a minimum of 3 years.
  • The candidate must have passed the qualifying exam with 50% of marks.

Eligibility Criteria for MCA

  • The candidate applying for MCA must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects in Graduation as well as in class 12th.
  • The candidate must have secured at least 50% of marks in Graduation (45% marks for the Reserved category).

TANCET 2019 Application Form

The Application Form of TANCET 2019 is released in an online mode on the official website of Anna University. The candidates who are planning on applying for the entrance examination will be required to fill up the Application Form and submit it before the due date. It is an important part of the admission procedure which the candidate must go through in order to appear for the entrance test. The exam of TANCET 2019 is for the admission of the candidates to the Post Graduate courses, it is important that the candidate must provide the correct details regarding the course they need to apply for. Along with the Application Form of TANCET 2019, the examination conducting body will also be releasing the Information Brochure. The exam of Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) will be held for the candidates who are planning on taking admission to the Postgraduate courses as per their Discipline. The Application Form will be available in an online mode in the month of April 2019. It is important for the applicants that they are prepared for the exam and are aware of the pattern of the examination.   • The Duration of TANCET 2019 will be of 2 hours.
  • The exam of TANCET 2019 will be in an offline mode and the question paper will be in an objective format.
  • The total of 100 questions will be asked in the question paper of TANCET 2019.
  • Each correct answer will be provided with 1 marks.
  • There will be a Negative Marking and 1/3 of marks will be deducted for the incorrect answer.
  • For MBA and MCA exam, there will be total 100 questions. The paper will be of 100 marks.
  • For the exam of M.E./M.Tech/M.Plan./M.Arch., the question paper will be divided in three parts. Part 1 and Part 2 of the question paper will be of 20 marks each and Paper 3 will be of 60 marks.

TANCET 2019 Syllabus

The candidates who will be applying for TANCET 2019 must start preparing for the entrance exam in order to qualify the test. It is important for the applicants that they are aware of the syllabus and the questions which will be asked in the question paper as per the course for which they are applying for. It will help them in the preparation of the entrance exam and will provide an idea of what kind of questions will be framed in the question paper of TANCET 2019. The syllabus of MBA and MCA will include Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and other sections as per the subject for which the candidate is appearing for the examination.

TANCET 2019 Hall Ticket

The Hall Ticket of TANCET 2019 is available in an online mode on the official website of the examination conducting body. Candidates who have successfully submitted the Application Form will be eligible to download the Hall Ticket which will be available as per on the mentioned date. The login link will be issued by the authorities and the applicants will have to provide the asked credentials in order to access the Hall Ticket successfully. It must be noted that it is a mandatory document which must be presented by the candidate on the day of the examination as the presence of the Hall Ticket provides validation to the candidate to appear for the exam. The absence of the Admit card will prohibit the applicant from appearing for the entrance test and they will not be considered eligible to enter the examination hall.

Once the Hall Ticket of TANCET 2019 will appear on the screen, the applicant must go through it very carefully. The details provided on the Hall Ticket will be the Name of the candidate, Roll Number, Application Number, Gender, Course Name and Course Code, Date and the timing of the exam, Centre allotted to the candidate for TANCET exam 2019 and the important instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the examination. In case if the applicant finds any of the detail provided on the Hall Ticket to be incorrect or invalid, they must contact the examination conducting authorities immediately. It must be reported before the entrance examination so that the edited and the correct Hall Ticket is issued to the candidate before the examination. The applicant must get the multiple photocopies of the Hall ticket on the day of the examination, in case the downloaded one is lost or damaged.

TANCET 2019 Answer Key

The Answer Key of TANCET 2019 will be released in an online mode on the official website of Anna University. It is important that the candidates must be aware of the releasing date of the Answer key, it will be provided in the admission schedule released by the examination conducting body of the University. The Answer Key will be released a few days after the entrance exam is conducted successfully. The candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to download the Answer Key and check their possible score. The availability of the Answer keys will only be in an online mode and can only be accessed from the official website of the University. Once it is available, the candidate will have to download it and it is advised that the candidate must save it in a hard copy.

But it must be noted that the window to object will only be provided for the limited time period and the candidate will have to submit the objections within the given window.

TANCET 2019 Result

The Result of Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) will be released in an online mode by the examination conducting body of Anna University. Candidates who have successfully appeared for the entrance exam will be eligible to check whether they have qualified the exam or not. The link of TANCET Result 2019 will be available as per on the announced date as mentioned in the admission schedule released by the examination authorities. Once the link is available, the candidate will have to provide the credentials in the login section and must make sure that the details provided are valid and correct, the result will not be displayed with the wrong details. The candidate must make sure that the check the result of the course for which they gave the exam and must have passed. It must be noted though that the merely qualifying the exam will not provide any form of assurance of the admission and the final seat allotment will only be through the counselling procedure.
