Post Matric Scholarships Scheme For Minorities 2018Post Matric Scholarships Scheme For Minorities 2018: Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities scholarship is for minority communities provided & supported by the Government of India. Application form for the academic session has been released on 23rd July 2018. In this scheme, Govt of India invites application from class 11 to 12 students from minority communities such as Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians to enhance their employability rate. The govt of India bears the expenses of the admission fee, tuition fee, maintenance allowance of the eligible students for 10 months in an academic year. As per the latest released official notification, the Application window for the National Scholarship Portal under Central Schemes, State Schemes, UGC Schemes, AICTE schemes has opened on 23rd July 2018. Post Matric Scholarships Scheme For Minorities 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. The students of class 11,12, graduate, post graduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D.
  2. The students belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis).
  3. The students who have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous exam.
  4. The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 lakh from all the sources.

NOTE 1: The distribution of scholarship among the States or Union Territories will be made on the basis of the population of minorities (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Zoroastrians) in the States or Union Territories. Scholarships will not be given to more than two students in a family. The scholarship, once awarded, may be renewed during the next academic year of the course on the production of certificate that the student has secured 50% marks in the examination.

NOTE 2: Reservation for female students:

30% of the scholarship will be reserved for girl students. In case a sufficient number of eligible girl students are not available, then the balance reserved scholarships may be awarded to eligible boy students.

Application Form of Post Matric Scholarships Scheme For Minorities 2018

Eligible candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to register for the Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2018. The application form for the academic session 2018-19 is going to release soon.

  1. Click on new user or register.
  2. Now, click on “Post- Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities” under Ministry of Minority affair.
  3. Fill all the details and register.
  4. Login again with given ID.
  5. Registered mobile number will get an OTP.
  6. Enter OTP number and confirm.
  7. Fill the application form.
  8. At last click on “submit”. Save, Download & take the printout of the filled application form.

NOTE: The concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration will supply the application forms, till such time computerized systems are made operational by the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. The application forms should be received back along with requisite certificates/certifications within the stipulated period.

Important Guidelines of Post Matric Scholarships Scheme For Minorities 2018

  1. Migration of students from one Institution to another would not normally be allowed during the course of the academic year except under exceptional circumstances and in the interest of the student’s academic career.
  2. Course fee/tuition fee and maintenance allowance will be credited directly to the students’ bank account.
  3. The fund for distribution of scholarships in subsequent years will be released  after receiving the utilization certificate for the previous year.

Documents Required For Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2018

The students need to provide the following documents to their respective institutions for verification

  • Student photo
  • Institution verification form
  • Income certificate of parents/guardians issued by the competent authority in the state government.
  • Self-declaration of community certificate by the parents/legal guardian.
  • Self-attested certificate of previous Qualifying Exam/Board mark sheet.
  • Fee receipt of current course year.
  • Proof of bank account
  • Aadhar card
  • Residential certificate.
