Panjab University School of Open Learning was established in 1971. It is a public university located in Chandigarh, India. The candidates are advised to submit the Panjab University Application Form 2018 before the last date prescribed otherwise fine will be charged for submission of Panjab University Application Form 2018. Eligibility Criteria for Panjab University Admission 2018

The candidates who are interested in admission to the courses offered by Panjab University are advised to read the eligibility criteria very carefully before filling the Application Form. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Any candidate who has passed the following examination with English as one of the subjects

(i) B.Sc./B.A./B.Com. Part I (old scheme) Pre-medical/Pre-Engineering/Intermediate Arts/Science/Agricultural examination of Panjab University or any other equivalent examination from a recognised University.

(ii) The 10+2 examination under 10+2+3 system of education from a recognised Board/University or any other equivalent examination from a recognised University.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) A candidate should have passed

 

(i) 10+2 examination or B.Com. Part I (old scheme) Panjab University with three of the following subjects securing atleast 45 percent marks in the aggregate: Commerce (or theory of commerce or foundation course in commerce), Accountancy (or book keeping and accountancy), Economics,

Business Organisation (or Business Management or Theory and Practice of Management), Insurance (or General Insurance or Life Insurance), Banking and Trade Commercial Geography Office Management and Secretarial Practice (or Office Organization and Management), Mercantile Law (or any Company Law), Auditing Typewriting and Stenography/Computers (for typewriting) or any other equivalent examination from a recognised University.

(ii)10+2 examination or B.A. Part I (old scheme) from Panjab University securing 50% marks with atleast 2 subjects mention in (i) or any other equivalent examination from a recognised University.

(iii)10+2 Examinations or B.A. Part-I/B.Sc.I/Pre-Engineering/Pre-Medical examination from Panjab University securing 50% marks under the old scheme not covered in (ii).

Bachelor of Library and Information Science (B.LI.Sc.) (i) A candidate who has Bachelor’s Degree from Panjab University securing 50% marks or any other equivalent degree from recognised University.

(ii) A candidate who has Master’s Degree from Panjab University securing 50% marks or any other equivalent degree from recognised University.

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) (i) A candidate who has degree of Graduation/Post Graduation in humanities/science/social science/commerce with minimum 50% marks.

(ii) A candidate who has degree in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with minimum 55% marks from Panjab University or any other recognized university.

Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics A candidate who has passed the following examination from Panjab University or any recognised University

(i) B.A. (Hons.) in the concerned subject.

(ii) B.A./B.A. in through English only securing minimum 45% marks in the subject of the Post-Graduate course.

(iii) Bachelor’s degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks.

(iv) Diploma in Physical Education examination or Post-graduate Diploma in Library Science after having passed B.A. or B.Sc.

(v) Master degree examination in any stream.

(vi) B.Sc.(Hons.) examination

(vii) Obtained B.A. degree, after passing the examination in an Oriental Classical Language or a Modern Indian Language with at least 45% marks at the Honours in Oriental Titles or Modern Indian Languages examination, in the subject of Post-Graduate course.

(ii) A candidate who is Graduate with Honours in Economics or Mathematics or Statistics or Commerce with minimum 45% of marks.

(iii) A candidate who has Graduate degree with minimum 50% marks having Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Computer Applications or Computer Sciences as a subject in the examination.

(iv) A candidate who has passed the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

(v) A candidate who has Graduation degree in any stream with minimum 60% marks.

(vi) A candidate who has passed B.Voc (Banking, Insurance & Retailing) and B.Voc (Retail Management).

Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) Admission to M.B.A. (Executive) is through Entrance Test conducted by Panjab University. Eligibility to appear in the Entrance test is as follows:

(i) A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree with atleast 50% marks from Panjab University or any other recognised University.

(ii) A candidate who has passed the final examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or The Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

(iii) A candidate who has passed AMIE examination with minimum 50% marks after having passed the diploma examination with minimum 60% marks and have at least 5 years research/teaching of professional experience.

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application A candidate who has passed Bachelor’s degree from Panjab University with minimum 50% marks under 10+2+3 system of examination or any equivalent examination from recognised University.

(ii) A candidate who has passed B.Tech/B.E or any equivalent examination from recognised University.

Post Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management and Corporate Security A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree in any stream with atleast 45% marks from Panjab University or any other recognised University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Health, Family Welfare and Population Education A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree or BAMS degree from Panjab University or any other recognised University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights & Duties A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree in any stream from Panjab University or any other recognised University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation & Networking (i) A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s of Library and Information Science from Panjab University or any other recognised University.

(ii) A candidate who has passed two years integrated course of Master of Library & Information Science from any recognized University.

Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree in any stream from Panjab University or any other recognised University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Statistics (i) A candidate should have passed Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks from Panjab University or any other recognised University.

(ii) A candidate should have passed Master’s degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks from Panjab University or any other recognised University.

Certificate course in Vivekanand Studies A candidate who has passed 10+2 examinations from Board of School Education, Punjab / Haryana or Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi or any other equivalent examination from a recognised Board.

Steps to fill the Panjab University Application Form 2018

The candidates may follow the given procedure to fill the Panjab University Admission cum Examination Form 2018:

  • Visit the website of the University.
  • Fill the registration form with the required details to Register yourself.
  • The candidate will receive Login Id & Password on email id/phone after successful registration.
  • Login your account by using Login Id & Password.
  • Select the course for which seeking admission.
  • Fill the other details like Name, Date of Birth, Educational details, Address etc. in the Admission cum Examination form.
  • Make the Payment of fee by using either credit card/debit card/Net Banking or through Fee Challan in State Bank of India (SBI)/Post Office.
  • Take print out of the Panjab University Admission cum Examination Form 2018.
  • Visit for on the spot verification of Original Documents/Certificates.

Documents required at the time of Counselling

The candidates are required to carry following documents in Original at the time of face to face counselling:

  • Original Marksheet/Certificate of the last qualifying examination.
  • Original Migration Certificate.
  • Original Character Certificate.
  • Original Caste Certificate (OBC/SC/ST)
  • Copy of generated Fee Challan of the Bank/Post Office.
  • The candidates claiming for fee concession or relaxation of marks in eligibility criteria under Special category have to produce Original Document/Certificate.

Entrance Test Scheme for M.B.A.

The candidate who will apply for M.B.A. will have to appear in an entrance test. The candidates qualifying the entrance test will be eligible for admission. The scheme of entrance test is given below:

  • There shall be no negative marking.

Admission Process of Panjab University

The admission to all the courses will be made in online mode only. The candidates desiring to take admission in Panjab University are required to fill the Panjab University Admission cum Examination Form 2018 and make the payment of requisite fee. The candidates successfully submitting the filled in  Panjab University Application Form 2018, will be called for on the spot verification of Original Documents/Certificates.

The candidates who will apply for M.B.A. have to appear in the entrance test. The candidates qualifying the entrance test will be called for counselling/admission.
