Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is one of the premier universities in India. The JNU Entrance Examination (JNUEE) is conducted for the selection of candidates for admission into various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil/PhD and Part-time courses offered by the university. JNUEE for admissions into 2019-20 academic session will be held tentatively in December 2018. The Result of JNUEE (Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam) will declared by the University tentatively in February 2019.

The results of JNU will be declared online on the official website of JNU www.jnu.ac.in . For the courses that included an interview/viva-voce following the written test, only those who will qualify the entrance exam will be eligible for interview. The final Merit list for all the courses will be declared in April 2019.

JNU offers deprivation points to candidates belonging to Quartile districts 1 and 2, candidates who are Kashmiri migrants and Female/Transgender candidates. Read along to find out the different deprivation points offered.

How to View Results of JNU Entrance Exam

The results for JNU will be declared online on their official website. Candidates will need to enter their Application number / Registration Number to view their results.

The results can be accessed in the following steps:

  • Visit the official website of JNU www.jnu.ac.in and navigate the link to view results that shall be highlighted on the admission page.
  • On the page that appears, select if you want to view results using Application number or your registration number.
  • Select programme of study.
  • Select Field of study.
  • Enter your Application number or Registration number as opted by you in the step above.
  • Click on the “Search” button.

Deprivation Points

Deprivation points up to 12 points will be awarded to candidates belonging to certain categories. They are discussed below.

  1. Candidates would get separate points for each educational level i.e. 10th/ High School/ Matriculation/ 12th level/ Intermediate, B.A./B.Sc. and M.A./M.Sc. from either a Quartile 1 or Quartile 2 Districts. The points are enlisted below: Quartile 1 marks:

  2. All Kashmiri Migrants are eligible for grant of 05 (five) deprivation points on the production of registration documents from the notified authorities certifying their Kashmiri Migrant Status.
  3. All female/Transgender candidates are eligible for deprivation points as per details are given below:
SC/ST/OBC/PH/Quartile 1/Quartile 2 7 deprivation points
Other Candidates (UR not falling under either Quartile 1/Quartile 2) 5 deprivation points

NOTE: This benefit of deprivation points will be given only to UG/PG level courses other than M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes.
