Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test(JKCET) is an important state level entrance examination for admission to the undergraduate course Bachelors of Engineering offered in the private and government institutes of Jammu and Kashmir. The exam is conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination commonly known as BOPEE in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu.

The JKCET Result 2018 of the exam have been declared on 10th May 2018. Here is a list of the salient features of the JKBOPEE CET Result:

  • The JKCET Results 2018 will your available online only on the official website of Jammu & Kashmir BOPEE only. (the link of the same will be provided here)
  • Result will be declared for only those candidates who have taken the Jammu Kashmir CET exam.
  • CET Result for 2018 Exam will be in the released of a scorecard and will contain the rank obtained by the candidate.
  • The results are calculated from the machine to read OMR answer sheets. Therefore it is error free.
  • The merit list will be prepared in the descending order based on the JKCET Entrance Result of the candidate.
  • JKCET results will be declared only after the representations made by the candidates for the JKCET Answer Key have been cleared.

How To Download JKCET Result 2018

  1. Go to the official website of JKBOPEE i.e. www.jakbopee.net.
  2. Click on the Result link provided (link will be provided here as soon as the results are announced)
  3. Enter your roll number and date of birth.
  4. Click on the submit button.
  5. Check the result carefully and download the same.
  6. Take multiple prints of the same for future use.

After JKCET Result 2018?

After the declaration of JKCET results 2018, BOPEE, the Jammu & Kashmir exam conducting authority will release the cutoff and the merit list. The applicants whose names are on the merit list and have qualified the JKCET 2018 Exam will be called for the JKCET counselling 2018. Therefore, it is important for the candidates to secure marks within the closing rank.

JKCET 2018 Results –  Merit List

The JKCET Merit List is a list prepared by the Jammu & Kashmir BOPEE. Merit List is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the JKCET Entrance Exam. Students can check their marks and rank in the JKCET 2018 Results. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list will be called for JKCET 2018 counselling. All the candidates must keep the print out of the result till the admission process is over.

In case 2 or more candidates obtain the same score, the following tie-breaker policy will be adopted:

  • Candidate obtaining higher marks in Mathematics in the JKCET exam will be considered.
  • Candidate having more marks in Physics will be considered, if marks secured by both the candidates in Math section are equal.
  • Candidate having more marks in Chemistry will be considered, if marks secured by both the candidates in Maths and Physics section are equal.
  • Candidate older in age will be considered for admission, If marks secured in all the subjects by both the candidates are equal.

JKCET Counselling 2018

All those applicants who have qualified or cleared the JKCET 2018 Entrance Exam would be eligible to participate in the JKCET Counselling process. Counselling for JKCET will be organized by BOPEE and will take place in offline mode only. Applicants have to visit the venue as prescribed by the JKBOPEE Authorities. Students need to carry all the documents along with their photocopies for the document verification. During JKCET counselling 2018, candidates will get chance to indicate their choices/ preferences regarding colleges and courses.
