Application Procedure For IIMC Entrance Exam 2019

The Application Form for IIMC 2019 will be made available both in the offline and online modes. Before proceeding for application go through the eligibility criteria to ensure that you are eligible to appear for the entrance test.

Select the mode you wish to adopt for carrying out the application procedure.

In case of offline mode

  • The application form can be obtained from the office of the institute on payment of Rs. 1200/- for general category and Rs. 1100/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH category through a demand draft only, drawn on any scheduled bank payable to Registrar IIMC at New Delhi, from IIMC New Delhi or IIMC Dhenkanal (Odisha).
  • It can also be received by post for which you shall have to make a request by post alongwith an enclosed DD as above and self addressed Envelope with a stamp of Rs. 70/-.
  • You can also download the application form from official website of IIMC and take a printout and fill it and post it along with a DD.

In case of online mode

  • Visit the website www.iimc.gov.in and follow the link for filling the online application form.

The application procedure for IIMC Entrance Exam 2019 shall include the following steps:

Filling the form

  • Fill in the particulars regarding your Personal details, Educational qualifications, Address, Special categories (if any).
  • Ensure that you fill all the particulars correctly and as per your official documents.
  • In case of offline mode, it is advised that you fill it in your own handwriting.
    Use a black pen to fill it and avoid pencils.
  • Use NA or NO in case any information asked for in the application is not applicable to you.
  • Do not use dots or dashes in the application form.

Photograph and signature

In case of online mode

  • You shall have to upload scanned copies of signature and Photograph in prescribed format and size.

In case of offline mode

  • Paste the photograph and put your signature in the space provided for that purpose.
  • Avoid stapling the photograph and use glue instead.
  • Do not forget to attest the photograph by yourself.

Paying the Application fee

  • In the online mode, application fees can be paid online through netbanking/ credit card/ debit card at the payment gateway.
  • In the offline mode if the application is downloaded from the website of IIMC, the fee has to be paid with the help of DD drawn in favour of Registrar IIMC payable at New Delhi.

Undertaking by the candidate

In the online mode the candidate has to take an undertaking before submission stating that all the information provided are genuine and he/she understands the terms and conditions of the institute. In case of any discrepency or fraud found in the application form, legal action may be taken against the candidate.

Posting the application form

The filled in and complete application form should be sent (in person or by post) to the office of the institute along with the enclosed Demand Draft (for downloaded forms).

Confirmation of receipt of application form

The institute shall intimate the candidate on his/her E-mail Id regarding the receival of the application form. In case no such intimation is received, you are requested to contact the institute.

NOTE:

  • The candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Hindi) or Journalism (English) as the written entrance examination and question paper will be common for above courses.
  • Similarly, The candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Urdu)/Journalism (Odia)/Journalism (Marathi)/Journalism (Malayalam).
    The written entrance examination for above courses will be conducted simultaneously.
  • For each course, there is a separate form. The candidates should check before filling the form that it is for the course for which they want to apply.

Eligibility Criteria For IIMC Entrance Exam 2019

The eligibility conditions that must be fulfilled in order to be considered for admission into IIMC are listed below. Please ensure that you meet the minimum eligibility requirements or else your candidature shall be cancelled.

  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Exam Pattern And Syllabus For IIMC Entrance Exam 2019

The entrance exam shall be descriptive in nature and the question paper shall contain questions concerning Current affairs, movies, trends, review of scripts etc. There shall be a particular number of questions to choose from.

The entrance test shall be followed by a personal interview.

Admit Card For IIMC Entrance Exam 2019

The Admit Card for IIMC Entrance Exam will be available to download. IIMC Entrance exam admit card 2019 will be released in an online mode for download. It shall contain all the details regarding your Name, Roll No., Course, Examination centre etc. It is mandatory that you bring the admit card to the examination centre on the day of the Entrance Exam.

Download a copy of the Admit card, take a print out and put your signature on the given space. You shall also be required to attach a photograph of yourself on the given space. The admit card for IIMC Entrance Exam can be downloaded in the following steps:

  • Other after the interview round which shall also be the final results.

Final Merit List of IIMC Entrance Exams 2019 and Counselling

  • After the interview round, the final merit list shall be declared based on the marks scored by the candidate collective of the Written test and the personal interview.
  • The candidates selected for admission must be present at the allotted institute on the assigned day to complete the formalities regarding admission. They must download their Rank cards from the official website and carry all their original documents.
  • The admission shall be finalised on payment of the admission fees.
